Best Dog Parks in Austin, Texas

Dogs are undoubtedly a man's (or woman's) best friend, which is why we always want the best for them. And, sometimes the best for them means letting them run around something bigger than our backyards and without a leash. This is why dog parks are perfect, and luckily for us, there's so many around the Austin area! These parks are also clean and beautiful, so you'll enjoy hanging out there too. Here is a list of a few of the best that will keep your dog busy.

Red Bud Isle

• This is a 13-acre dog park located off Red Bud Trail. This outdoor sanctuary has so many activities for you to do while letting your dog run around. These include hiking, running, fishing, swimming, and many more!

Barkin' Springs

• Located right next to Barton Springs (a famous spring pool downtown), this section doesn't have an entrance fee and is dog-friendly. It's a perfect place to take your dog for a swim and a hike along the water.

Auditorium Shores

• Auditorium Shores is known for having many events and different sections associated with it, but one of these is a dog park. With a spectacular view of the city, it is a great place for your dog to burn of some energy and for you to take in Austin's amazing ambiance.

Zilker Park

• Zilker Park, famous for it's world-known events, like Austin City Limits or Blues on the Green, happens to also be the perfect place to take your furry friend! When they don't have a spectacular event going on, there are 350 acres for your dog to go run around. It also offers wonderful views of Downtown Austin.

Bull Creek District Park

• Bull Creek offers 32 wonderful miles for you and your dog to play at. It has a clean creek with waterfalls that runs through it as well as hiking trails, making it a perfect outing for not only your dog, but you as well.
