Since Austin has become such a large city, there is no absence of places that are constantly asking for help. Austin Pets Alive!

• Austin Pets Alive is a no kill animal shelter which has pioneered many new programs to help save the animals that are blessed to be rescued and taken to their shelter. In fact, they have saved 60,000 pet lives just since 2008. They have location all over Austin, and they are always looking for some help. With many animals in their care at any given time, the workers are kept very busy. Whether you want to donate, go in and help, or foster/adopt a dog, they and their furry friends will greatly appreciate you! If you volunteer at the downtown location, they even let you take the dogs on walks around Town Lake!

Meals on Wheels

• Meals on Wheels' mission is to distribute meals and care to seniors and adults with disabilities. Every day Monday-Friday, they deliver 3,000 meals. They serve 5,000 seniors just in Central Texas. This is an incredible organization that offers so many things, including in-home care, pet care, home repair, care for those with Alzheimer's and Dementia, and more. Their focus is on the seniors of Austin, helping them get older surrounded by peace and love. Keep Austin Beautiful

• Keep Austin Beautiful promotes volunteering, cleaning up the environment, and reducing waste. The provide various resources along with education to make these tasks easier. They have different volunteer opportunities throughout the month, where you go to a specific location, they provide the resources necessary, and you help clean up, mulch, or move things in our beautiful city. There is not a lack of things on their to do list meaning they need as many volunteers as they can get!
